Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy is more than good scents. It is a complex mixture of biology,
chemistry and herbology. Each plants oil is likened to its blood,
a mosaic of 80 to 300 different substance. These substances each have
a unique property such as anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, digestive aid,
etc. They are absorbed into the body through the skin and directly into
the blood stream for maximum effect. They can beak down harmful chemicals
in the body to render them non-toxic. Unlike synthetic drugs, these
substance are accepted by the cells of the human body since their chemical
structure is easily recognized by the cellular membrane.
Essential Oils and Aromatherapy have been used in many ancient cultures
in ceramonial and healing rituals. Jars of oils have been discovered
during the excavation of the tombs of the Pharohs. Aromatherapy has
once again come to our attention for it's ability to soothe the spirit
and promote the body's ability to heal itself from within. Research
continues to improve the quality of modern Aromatherapy in Canada, Europe
and the United States.
